The coast south of Makena on Maui, Hawaii

It seems to take forever to drive from Kahului to our hotel on the coast south of Makena, but at last we are there.

A late afternoon walk along (and above) the beach gave us the lay of the land and a glimpse of some of our new neighbors.

It’s a good place to be.
