When we were in the Apostle Islands for a few days of sailing at the end of August, we spent a night tied up at the dock on Rocky Island. The next morning we awoke to gorgeous light on the island’s sandy beach.

It looks like a good time to take a dog for a walk.
There’s plenty along the beach to interest both man and dog!
But the boat is waiting. . .
Back on the dock again, the dog goes back on board while we prepare to untie and set off for the day.
