Chiang Rai, Thailand

Last updated on November 25th, 2020

Chris brings us to a big hotel in Chiang Rai for lunch at their international buffet. The food is safe (a crucial point for Chris, who seems determined to keep everyone well), but boring.I escape as quickly as I can in hope of spending a little time exploring Chiang Rai. David and Joe join my excursion.

We start by examining the elaborate street signs.

We don’t get very far from the hotel, but in the short time we have, we find cheerful streets, spirit houses, a lovely gold-encrusted wat, and a rather odd painted door.

It would be nice to have more time to explore here, but, as it is, we are the last ones to return to the bus.
