The Canadian Rockies spill over the Continental Divide along the border between British Columbia. It is an area rich in scenery and in parks that allow visitors to enjoy that scenery.
My July 2014 trip included Waterton Lakes Park, Banff, Jasper, Yoho, and Kootenay National Parks, along with a wonderful drive through a section of Alberta’s Peter Loughead Provincial Park. One could spend years exploring this area, but we were there for less than three weeks, so there is a lot more we would like to see. Indeed, a return trip in some fall is already on the “future travel” list.
