Susan and I have spent most of our time puttering around the house and/or running errands since I arrived in Albuquerque, so it seems time to get out and see the sights for a bit. . . and what better way to do that then to head up Sandia Peak on the tramway.
The tramway takes us 4,000 feet in about 15 minutes. It’s the longest tramway in the world (Quito’s tram is not as long, but a lot closer to the sky.)
The tram is a pretty cool bit of engineering, but it is the view that really amazes.
There are restaurants and shops and a variety of facilities up here, but it’s a gorgeous day so we wander just wander around the trails at the top for awhile.
We have dinner plans this evening in Old Town Albuquerque, so soon it is time to head back to the platform for the return trip.
It’s really a cool system. . .
And then we are off again!
