It’s fall in Minnesota, which means crowded roads in the northern part of the state as camera-toting leaf-peepers head to their favorite northern Minnesota parks to see the show.
I don’t blame them. The fall leaves are a grand show and I’ve been up there to see it for myself more than a few times over the years.
But you don’t HAVE to go north to see great fall leaves in Minnesota. Heck, you don’t even have to go someplace with trees!

I also love the fields around Calgary right now though the larches in the Rockies at the end of September never fail to amaze.
