Art-a-Whirl, the annual Northeast Minneapolis festival of all things handmade, is happening this weekend.
I’m exhibiting at Art-a-Whirl!
While I can’t actually be there in person this year, I’m participating in Art-a-Whirl through the Twin Cities Photography Group.
I’ll have the following three images and coordinating multi-image greeting and post card packs available for purchase. (These images will also be available on www.CindyCarlsson.com.)

Far from the city
I’m still working on getting enough great barn pictures from all seasons for a calendar, but I do have enough to create a set of greeting cards.
(All of these images were created from photos taken while traveling the back roads of Minnesota.)
Dreaming of mountains
Somehow I’m always surprised by the beauty of North American’s western mountains. For this set of images I picked some of my favorite mountain scenes from our 2014 trip to the Canadian Rockies and Montana’s Glacier National Park
After dark on the midway
As long-time followers of this website know, I love going out after dark to shoot the carnival rides on the Midway at the Minnesota State Fair. For Art-a-Whirl I picked some of my favorite images from over the years to create postcards that capture the vibrant colors found on the Midway after dark.
The spring 2017 Art-a-Whirl will be held this weekend, May 19-21. Events begin at 5 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. A full schedule of events, activities, and open galleries can be found on the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) website.
My work will be available with that of some of the other members of the Twin Cities Photography Group in the gallery at the Minneapolis Television Network in the historic Thorp Building. Besides photography, MTN is hosting a variety of activities in their studios, including Karaoke and the opportunity to create your own professional video.
