I don’t really keep a bucket list, but one of the things I have always wanted to do is to see the cherry blossoms on the Mall in Washington, DC.
I finally got to do that – sort of. . . .
The other day I decided to photograph the Washington Memorial as the sun set.
Cherry blossoms appear on the National Mall
See those trees?
I was surprised to find that at least some of them seem to be cherry trees.
And they are in bloom.
So now I have seen the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC. . . . Except it is November and the cherry trees definitely should not be in bloom.
It’s beautiful, but rather confusing.
