Now that’s a Texas longhorn!

Texas Hill Country isn’t prime cattle country, but there are cattle here. Sometimes they surprise you; for example, you might be driving along admiring the cowboy boots decorating a fence. . .

and suddenly there is a real live Texas longhorn right next to that fence.

When you slow down to take a closer look, the longhorn might look up from its water bucket, scratch its back with an oversized horn, and take a long look back at you.

And then you will likely agree that they are aptly named.

You might also appreciate that there is a fence between the two of you.

My advice? Don’t mess with a Texas longhorn.
