We found unexpected surprises tucked in odd corners where we visited the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center this spring. One of the most unexpected was this exuberant little cactus tucked into a flower box along a railing.

I don’t know what kind of cactus it is, but I think it is pretty wonderful. The blue-eyed grass is a nice addition too.

    1. I love Floral Friday. I don’t usually comment, but I do have a blast going through the posts. A little research has shown that my mother is (as always) correct and that it is a hedgehog or Echinocereus. But I used to have a Mammilaria (I didn’t know that until I looked it up) and it was lovely. Unfortunately, it was one of the ones that died last summer. 🙁
