I noticed a few chipmunks (golden-mantled ground squirrels, to be precise) while shooting near the base of Cameron Falls in Canada’s Waterton Lakes National Park.

cheeky chipmonk -

They were cute, but I really wasn’t giving them a lot of my attention.

On the other hand, my husband entertained himself (while I was trudging up the hill to the top of the falls) by watching and photographing them as they raced along the river bank.

They are cute. And really active!

How are the fall colours in Waterton?

Chippies are cute to watch and I try to remind myself of this when they are being a nuisance in the garden. Cameron Falls looks like a great place for photography.
