I’m from Minnesota, so I’m pretty familiar with snow fences. Still, I was surprised to realize the sturdy structures arranged in neat lines across the broad valley were snow fences.
Winter must be really intense to require a fence like that!
Of course, not all of them have been maintained very well.
I do wonder what it is like here in the depth of winter.

Weird. It’s not as though they’re keeping any wildlife out either. I’d love to know what the thinking was behind the fence.
Apparently they get a LOT of blowing snow. They seem sort of overbuilt though.
I have a goal of going skiing in Morocco one of these winters. One day soon perhaps. I wouldn’t have known they were snow fences!
