I hope that all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving this time of year have found many things to be grateful for and I’d like to ask you to share your good forture with others through Passports with Purpose. By making a $10 donation you not only help fund schools and literacy programs in Mali, but you get a chance to win a fabulous travel prize!
One of the challenges of travel is being confronted with the reality that many people in the world lack the basic necessities we take for granted. How to address those needs, needs much greater than each of us, is always a question. Passports with purpose began in 2008 as a way for travel bloggers — and all those who enjoy travel and travel writing — to share our blessings with those in need around the world.
With a goal of $115,000, Passports with Purpose and buildOn will construct three primary schools and fund three Adult Literacy Programs in the Sikasso Region of Mali, Africa.
For more than two decades buildOn has mobilized rural villages in some of the poorest countries on the planet to build more than 500 schools. To date, buildOn has completed nearly 200 schools in the region, with more than 24,000 children attending buildOn schools in Mali on an annual basis. Your donation will help ensure that this important work continues.
