Photo Thursday: Scaffolding on the Colorado State Capitol

(Last Updated On: April 19, 2020)

I knew before leaving for Denver that the Colorado State Capitol was a dramatic building and I was eager to photograph it. Of course, once we got there, it was immediately obvious that a not-particularly-lovely construction project was underway.

Timing is everything.

    1. Don't I know. . . when I went to Europe in college we joked that we were on the great monuments of Europe in scaffolding tour. Everything seemed to be hidden under scaffolding, from Big Ben in London to St. Basil's in Moscow. Your husband might be on to something though. . . .

  1. I'd love to know how some of you feel about that fancy covering they use in Europe now that looks like the part of the building being worked on. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether it is real or not.

  2. I think it's still a pretty good shot. Challenging circumstances encourage creativity, or at least help us better appreciate the times when the everything comes together perfectly.
