Almost Christmas in DC

A meeting scheduled for shortly before Christmas was a great excuse for a few days of checking out Washington DC while it is decked out in its holiday finery.

  1. D.C. is a lovely place to be at Christmas time. I spent Christmas of 2010 in Paris and 2009 in Buenos Aires, both of which were wonderful in very different ways (Christmas time is summer in Buenos Aires), so this year I decided to stay home, which is Ventura, California. It was 72 degrees.
