Each spring a group of potters with studios in Minnesota’s Saint Croix River Valley invite a few of their colleagues from around the country to join them for the weekend. Together they put out a lot of pottery to sell and then they invite the public to come on over.
This year’s Saint Croix Valley Pottery Tour will be held on May 6-8, with 57 potters participating.
Not convinced that this is a great way to spend a spring day? Obviously there are pots of all types for sale, but the studios are located in bucolic rural settings with fields, meadows, wooded lanes, and spring flowers – it’s the perfect excuse for a pleasant drive through the country.
Just to prove it, here are a few images from the 2015 show.
See you there!
