Many of the shops in the old heart of Hanoi still specialize in one type of merchandise, like this basket shop.
Every morning the shopkeepers opened up the little shopfront and pulled out their displays. They would carefully rearrange the baskets, moving brightly colored ones to the front (to better catch the eye of passing shoppers?) and neatly stacking them inside each other. The shop had baskets of all types and sizes; some seemed purely decorative, but baskets are still in everyday use for many purposes in Vietnam and many of these will be sold to local residents for utilitarian purposes.
